Children's Ministry

At Glenview Alliance, we’re committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where your children can grow to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus, while also making friends and having fun.

We love kids and consider it a privilege to be involved in their spiritual development – to point them to Jesus and to equip them for a lifelong, growing relationship with Him. Our heart is to unify the church and the family, to come alongside of you, helping to “train up your children in the way they should go".  (Proverbs 22:6)

We currently offer Sunday school at 9:00 am for children through Grade 5 on Sunday mornings.

  • Infants up to age 2 meet in the Infant Nursery
  • Ages 2 through 5 meet in Room 10
  • Grades K through 5 meet in Room 6

PLEASE NOTE: Masks are needed for ages 2 through grade 5 and COVID procedures are in place for all classes.

Awana (Age 3 - Grade 5)

A worldwide program that fosters disciple-making in children through Scripture memorization, fun activities, and family participation.

Stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," a phrase taken from 2 Timothy 2:15

Ages 3-5 -- Cubbies

Grades K - 2 -- Sparks

Grades 3 - 5 -- T&T (Truth & Training)

Glenview uses the Awana curriculum because it's known for strengthening Biblical literacy and helping families develop lifelong disciples of Christ.

After discussing staffing and program needs in light of COVID-19, it was determined that hosting Awana at Glenview would not be doable this year. HOWEVER, rather than cancel the program altogether, we are inviting parents to consider doing the Awana program at home with your child/children this year. The heart of Awana is to foster a partnership between the family and the church -- to disciple children / families as they grow to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus. As parents, we believe you have the greatest opportunity to disciple and reach your child's heart.

If you are interested in doing this or if you would more information regarding the Awana program, please email the church office.
